This Amendment does the following: 1) Makes reports of requests for assistance from any State law enforcement agency related to stopping any individual based purely on suspicion of undocumented status only required if there is a finding that such activity is occurring. 2) Add the provisions that reports under this Act are not required in investigations of human trafficking. 3) Provides that personal identifying information of any subject of the request should not be provided. 4) The Department of Justice must promulgate regulations or an instructional memorandum to state agencies to effectuate the reporting requirements of the Act.
